Graduate Students

If you are interested in joining the graduate program of the UIC Department of Chemistry, more information about research opportunities and the application process can be found here and here.

Postdoctoral Associates

Applications for postdoctoral positions may be submitted in writing to D. Wardrop. Applicants must have completed their graduate (Ph.D.) studies in chemistry or medicinal chemistry before the beginning of their appointment and should have a demonstrable record of scholarly accomplishments in the areas of natural product synthesis or method development. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent via mail.

Undergraduate Students

If you are interested in getting involved in laboratory research and can commit to eight hours per week, please contact Dr. Wardrop to arrange a meeting. Preferably, students will have completed the CHEM 232/234 sequence (or equivalent) before starting in the laboratory. Please note that chemical research takes time and for that reason, preference will be given to students who have not entered their last year of study.

For more details, see our group listing on the UIC URE website.
