Profile

Minjung completed her dissertation in 2011. Her primary research interest focused on how cultural norms and values have influence on student science learning and how students from various cultures understand and engage in classroom activities differently. She is also interested in spatial reasoning in organic chemistry and role of gestures used in spatial thinking.

Before coming to the University of Maryland, Minjung worked at LG Chemistry as a research scientist and taught middle school science in Korea.
