Dane DeSutter received his undergraduate training from Purdue University in both Physics and Chemistry. He is now pursuing a doctorate in Learning Sciences at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Dane is broadly interested in the development of software learning environments for undergraduate organic chemistry courses. Currently, he is researching how the manipulation of virtual molecular models using gesture as a mode of human-computer interaction can improve students’ understanding and use of molecular representations.
