Matthew Lira completed his Ph.D. in 2015. His primary research interest focused on the relationship between students’ understandings of quantitative representations (e.g. graphs) and qualitative representations (e.g. depictive models) and the roles of instructor-generated and learner-generated gestures in thinking, learning, reasoning, and communicating about these representations. He is currently a post-doctoral associate at Purdue University. |
