Lecture Notes and Handouts

The topics to be discussed in this course are hierarchically covered in 1) our two texts, 2) Lecture Notes for the various Chapters, 3) Lecture Slides, and 4) pdf copies of the Lecture Slides available after each lecture.  The weekly Week-in-Review sheet summarizes the main ideas presented in each lecture listing important concepts and objectives for you to know.  You are very strongly encouraged to look at our text and the Lecture Notes before lecture to get a sense of these topics.  Students frequently comment that lectures "go way too fast."  You may find that Lectures become more useful to you if you look through the book and Lecture Notes before class.
