The 6th Chicago Organic Symposium will be held at the University of Illinois at Chicago on Saturday July11th, 2015. UIC is located in downtown Chicago near the neighborhoods of Little Italy and Greektown. This year’s Symposium will be held in Lecture Center A1, which is located in the middle of campus near the library.

Organic chemistry is a central science that fuels discoveries in pharmaceutical research, biology, materials, and medicine. The ability to create new molecules with precise control and discover new reactions has and will continue to profoundly impact society. The purpose of this conference is to bring together all levels of organic chemists (research scientists, faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students) from the Chicago area. With our lineup of presenters, we anticipate that the sixth symposium will spur our imaginations to continue to advance what can be achieved using organic chemistry. We hope to continue the excellence that was established in the first five editions of the Symposium and we are looking forward to welcoming you to UIC in July for the sixth COS!
