Wardrop Lab Synthetic Chemistry at the Interface

Congratulations to Monse Castillo, who has won a UIC SROP Fellowship and will join the Wardrop Group for the Summer of 2022. Ian will be working to develop new HDAC inhibitor prodrugs

Congratulation to Jesba, who will be presenting her work at the Southeastern Regional Meeting American Chemical Society, October 19-22, 2022. Her poster is entitled Synthesis of amino-based bifunctional probes for biological and biomedical applications.

Congratulations to Monse Castillo, who has won a UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Initiative (LASURI) award. Over the coming academic year, Monse will be developing novel inhibitors of the enzyme HDAC11.

On October 21st, Pano was an invited speaker at the virtual Sigma-Aldrich Chemistry Symposium. He discussed his graduate work in a talk entitled, Tetrazole-Mediated Ring Expansion - A Mild Approach to Strained Cyclooctynes. Congratulations Pano on a great talk!
