Nature provides organic chemists with a never-ending stream of structurally complex target molecules; in addition to providing useful leads in the development of therapeutic agents, these molecules frequently represent a challenge to existing synthetic methods. Work in our laboratory is focused on organic synthesis and, specifically, on developing new strategies and techniques for the efficient synthesis of highly functionalized natural products.
