Bruker DRX 500 MHz

This machine can be used for most modern NMR experiments. The gradient, full pulse shaping capability and high power amplifiers makes for a versatile system. It is often used for 13C studies even for dilute solutions. Pulse shaping allows for selective 1D NOE's and TOCSY which can save considerable time. Solid state CP-MAS 1D's are readily acquired as well. However, this takes some set up time (appx 2 hours) and is usually delayed until the system isn't in high demand such as on Mondays or weekends. There is an existing wide-bore 750MHz on the west campus which is dedicated to solids NMR now, and likely makes such studies on this machine obsolete.
