SCIENCE HISTORY STUDY

TOUR TO GERMANY
June 23 - July 7 2004

Join the friendly group of science educators and others who will take this tour to Germany in the  summer.  Single travelers arewelcome and can usually find a suitable room-mate. Those traveling alone will find this to be a cheerful and interesting group where it is easy to make friends. Inexperienced international travelers will be given as much help as they need.

We will begin our journey in Munich then visit southern Bavaria, Heidelberg, Giessen, Gottingen Potsdam (and many places in between) and end the trip in Berlin, rich in science history and, since the reunification of Germany, also rich in new architecture. We will take a short Rhine cruise (just through some of the pretty bits!) to see the castles for which the area is famous.

Travel from Munich to Berlin will be in easy stages, and our luxury coach will stay with us for the whole time that we are touring. Accommodation will be in comfortable, welcoming hotels.

All land transportation, hotels and breakfasts, at least (on average) one additional meal per day (often with a glass of wine, or good German beer!), all admissions to museums, lecture fees, and taxes are included.  Your additional expenditure will be for some meals when the group does not eat together and possible incidentals such as theater tickets or personal expenditures.  TRANSATLANTIC AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED.

The cost of the 2004 tour will be $2850 per person double occupancy.  Three hours of graduate credit are available at a very reasonable cost.   CPDUs are also available for teachers.
